After announcing the launch of Nubia, the Z17 mini, Chinese smartphone maker ZTE has thrown us quite the surprise. A new device, numbered NX575J has popped up on Geekbench and TENAA. The device which was initially certified by TENAA, later made its appearance on Geekbench where it confirmed the rumored specs of the device.
What features to expect
According to what’s found on TENAA, the NX575J will sport a 5.5-inch OLED display having a resolution of 720x1280p as opposed to the 5.2-inch FHD display on the Nubia Z17 Mini. As confirmed by Geekbench, this latest Nubia device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6750 chipset, one of the latest SoCs out there. The device will most probably run Android 6.0 Marshmallow coupled with Nubia 4 interface on the surface for a seamless user experience. Since ZTE has decided to go with a 1 GHz octa-core MT6750 on the device, it seems only fair to expect a 4GB RAM and an internal memory of 64 GB.
From what the benchmarks tell us, the device looks somewhat comparable to the Nubia Z17 Mini which packs a 1.9GHz octa-core Snapdragon 653 SoC, quite complimented by a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory that can be extended up to 256GB using a microSD card. One part where the Nubia NX575J stands completely apart from the Nubia Z17 Mini is the battery performance. While the Z17 Mini features a non-removable, 3,000mAh Li-ion battery, the NX575J will have a whopping 4390 mAh battery onboard.
When it comes to the camera, there are some real similarities we couldn’t miss. The Nubia NX575J is expected to feature a 13MP primary camera on the rear, and 16MP secondary camera for stunning selfies – once again, striking it with Z17 Mini that has the exact same camera specs. As to whether the rear camera will have dual flash LEDs is yet to be revealed, although it wouldn’t be wrong to expect this fairly common feature in the Nubia NX575J. As far as the connectivity is concerned, the NX575J will support 4G, Bluetooth, WiFi, FM Radio and common navigation systems like the GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and Beidou. The device has a 3.5mm audio jack, and is expected to measure 154 × 76.4 × 8.2mm in its size while weighing somewhere around 185g, although more time is needed to confirm on this.
The Nubia Z17 Mini has also made its appearance on TENAA days before it was teased by none other than star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo on Instagram, later revealing its official launch which is to take place on April 6 in China.
