XJaguar is the latest in a growing trend of racing drones

Drones are creating a buzz in a rapidly-expanding market. Now, proving them to be more than a novelty is Shenzhen-based Flypro Aerospace Tech.

The sports drone manufacturer on Friday launched XJaguar, an “extreme sports” professional racing drone customized for first-person-view (FPV) players and racing drone professionals.

The XJaguar boasts of 8-in-1 tower structure patented technology with an electronic speed controller, a pilot control board and a video transmitter.

Drone racing is making its way into the mainstream. The World Drone Prix held in Dubai earlier this year was an overwhelming success. Though is a relatively new sport, is appears to be slowly gaining a following around the world.

The city of Shenzhen in Guangdong, China, is becoming a major hub for drone manufacturing. Flypro’s XJaguar is the latest entrant into the extreme sports category. The drone sports a red and black design and has a well-configured dynamic power system with parameter optimization.

It has adopted a 5045 tri-bladed propeller model motor, with single motor traction force reaching 1300g and a 10:1 whole body thrust-weight ratio.

Additionally, the X-shaped rack is said to be smaller, lighter and more flexible in terms of direction control. And for longer period of uninterrupted flight, the drone has a battery with a discharge rate of 100C.

The XJaguar retails at CNY 1799 (around $270). For multicopter enthusiasts who can assemble their own, Flypro also sells the core part, the Tower, for a reduced price.
