Vivo launches V5 Plus: Know features, specs and price

Last year, Vivo announced the camera-centric Vivo V5. Today, the Chinese smartphone maker launched a new variant in the form of Vivo V5 Plus.

Pre-orders for the new device will begin on Tuesday. The V5 Plus is priced at Rs 27,980 ($410). Starting February 1, the device will be made public online as well as at retail stores.

At the outset, this is clearly a phone targeted at selfie lovers. It has a 20MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5P lens system on the front. Additionally, it also has a 8MP camera module. On the back, the phone has a 16MP sensor with LED flash.

The V5 Plus sports a unibody aluminium body with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Weighing 158 grams, the 4G LTE phone supports dual-SIM cards.

The display is a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD screen. The hardware includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The V5 Plus is bundled with a 3,160 mAh battery and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

When contrasted with the Vivo V5, you have the same display size, but the rear camera was of 13MP, while the front camera remains the same as V5 Plus. The processor was a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 chip.
