Samsung fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the flagship Galaxy S8 smartphone. It appears pre-registrations for the device is on full swing in key markets.
Last week, there were reports of Samsung taking pre-registrations for the Galaxy S8 in the UK. According to a report coming from Australia, consumers in that country as well can pre-register for the device.
The official Samsung Australia page has a registration page for those interested in juicy updates pertaining launch, features, variants and price. Note that the registrations are only for email updates, you are not exactly pre-paying for the device.
“Register your information below to be one of the first to know of any announcements from Samsung Australia,” the page states. Pre-orders for the device should begin on April 10.
According to Ausdroid, the Galaxy S8 will launch in the country in three colors – black, silver and gold. There could be more color choices available later based on the user demand.
Samsung will be taking wraps off the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ official on 29 March 2017 in New York.
The standard Galaxy S8 would pack a 5.8-inch screen while the larger smartphone dubbed the Galaxy S8+ would come with a 6.2-inch display. Both the displays would feature a WQHD+ resolution of 2,960 x 2,400 pixels.
Galaxy S8 is said to pack a 3,000 mAh battery, while the S8 Plus will have a beefier 3,500 mAh. In terms of processor, it could be Snapdragon 835 processor and 4GB of RAM for the US market and Samsung’s Exynos 8895 chips for international handsets.
