ZTE Nubia Z17 mini will release on March 21 with two dual rear cameras

In less than a week, ZTE will be launching a Nubia-branded phone that will be the successor of last year’s Z11 mini.

The Z17 mini will have two processor variants

The new Z17 mini will be unveiled at an event on March 21, thanks to a teaser posted on the official Weibo page we. It is touted to come with dual rear cameras, may be equipped with Sony IMX258 sensors.

On the spec sheet, we have a 5.2-inch 1080p display and two RAM and processor variants. The first will be a Snapdragon 652 SoC that will be paired with 4GB RAM. There will also be a Snapdragon 653 S0C with 6GB RAM.

It is to the user to decide on the power needed to operate the phone and the budget. The base model should sell at CNY 1,899 ($274). These are just speculations. We will know for sure when the device launches next week.

The Z17 mini will boast a 13 MP + 13 MP dual rear camera, alongside 16MP front camera for selfies. For storage, there will be an expandable 64GB. The device will be equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

When the ZTE Nubia Z11 mini launched, it came with a 5-inch IPS LCD display, Snapdragon 617 processor, 3GB RAM and 64GB storage. For pictures, there was a 16MP primary camera and 8MP secondary camera. There was a non-removable 2,800 mAh battery as well.

The latest is a decent upgrade and worth every penny. If budget is a concern, you could also try the Nubia N1 lite that launched at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona recently. It is a stripped down version of the original Nubia N1 and sports a 5.5-inch display, quad-core processor, 16GB storage and 3,000 mAh battery.
