PayPal now comes with Siri integration, allowing users to send and request money via voice command.
“With so many P2P transactions happening during such a busy season, we’re excited to give our users an early holiday present: starting November 10, Siri will be integrated with PayPal,” Meron Colbeci, Senior Director of Core Consumer Products, PayPal, wrote in a blog post.
With holidays round the corner, PayPal is predicting more than 17 million P2P transactions. The Siri integration is well timed. iPhone and iPad users running on iOS 10 can explore the feature from today. A simple command such as “Hey Siri, send Bill $50 using PayPal” will start the service. Make sure you are using the latest version of the PayPal app on the App Store.
Siri integration is made available for users in 30 countries. The countries include Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, UK, UAE and the U.S.
PayPal’s Siri integration comes two months after Siri APIs were officially opened to third-party developers.
