Asus launches ZenFone 3 Max with two variants in India

Asus launched the ZenFone 3 Max in India today with a price tag of Rs 12,999 ($195). The device has two variants – one being 5.2-inch and other a 5.5-inch display. The larger version retails for Rs 17,999 ($270).

Part of the ZenFone 3 series, the new devices feature a metal unibody design with 2.5D curved glass. ZenFone 3 Max has a a full HD display and is 4G VoLTE-enabled. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory.

Asus ZenFone 3 Max runs Android v6.0.1 Marshmallow. The dual SIM smartphone comes with hybrid SIM slot and also features a fingerprint scanner on the back. The device will be available in titanium gray, glacier silver and sand gold colour variants.

In the camera department, you have a 16MP primary camera with PDAF, laser autofocus and f/2.0 aperture. There is a front camera of 8MP for selfies. The lower variant of 5.2-inch display will sports a 13MP primary camera and 5MP front shooter.

ZenFone 3 Max packs a 4,100 mAh battery, able to provide 38 days of standby time and 17 hours of talktime. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS and AGPS.

Asus introduced its ZenFone 3 series of smartphones in India in August, 2016. ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ZenFone 3 Laser, and ZenFone 3 Ultra smartphones were part of the earlier launch. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe in fact was the company’s most expensive smartphone ever.
