OnePlus 5 news: Press render shows dual lens camera, release date confirmed for June 20

An official press render has just confirmed what the swirling rumors said on the upcoming OnePlus 5. The flagship device will have a dual camera setup on the back.

The press render showed the position of the horizontally laid camera sensors and also gave a glance of the design and smooth rounded edges. OnePlus 5 is expected to have two 23MP rear cameras and a 16MP front shooter.

Meanwhile, OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of the device on June 20. The company has released a teaser on Twitter with details of the planned event. The teaser reads: “Focus on what matters”.

The launch event will be streamed online through the company’s website starting 12pm EDT. It will also host Pop-up events in New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Oulu, Tampere, Turku, and Copenhagen.

As for core specs, OnePlus 5 will pack a 5.5-inch full HD resolution display and will be powered by Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. One of the key USP being the camera, it is reported that OnePlus has partnered with DxO Mark for the dual-lens camera.

OnePlus 5 is expected to sell in four color options. For power, it could feature a 4,000 mAh battery as well. For now, these are just rumors and we will have to wait till June 20 to confirm what surprises OnePlus 5 has in store for fans and buyers alike.
