Nubia Z17 launched with dual rear camera, 16MP selfie camera and Quick Charge 4+ support

ZTE’s Nubia has launched a flagship that was rumored for months and was to pack in some impressive features. The Nubia Z17 was launched in China on Thursday, with two variants to hit the market.

The device has lived up to the hype with stunning bezel-less display and a glass-metal design. And for performance, it comes equipped with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 835 processor. The processor is paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage.

Nubia launched the device in five color versions – black and gold, black, gold, red, and blue. In terms of display, they have maintained a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) screen. And for the first time, the company has made a water-resistant device. Yes, the Z17 carries the IP67 certification.

As if that was barely phenomenal, Nubia, has equipped the Z17 with dual cameras on back – 12MP+23MP sensors that support 2x optical zoom and 10x dynamic zoom. For those who love taking selfies, the Z17 offers a real touch of luxury with 16MP sensor and wide-angle lens.

The Z17 further has Dolby ATMOS speaker and IR blaster. To the two most important aspects of any smartphone, the battery and operating system, Nubia has settled for 3,200mAh juice pack and Nougat 7.1.1 with Nubia UI 5.0 skin on top for OS. The battery reportedly supports Quick Charge 4+ technology, which can charge the phone by half in 25 minutes.

All these features dont come cheap. The Z17 has been priced competitively at CNY 2,799 ($410) for base model and CNY 3,399 ($498) for the 128GB variant.
