Nokia 9 have been in the news for a while. The specs are already making us drool, thanks to the leaks. Now, a new report has given us info on the release date and the price tag.
Nokia launched the Android-powered Nokia 6, Nokia 3 and the Nokia 5 at Mobile World Congress
Going by the report, Nokia 9 might be priced at $699 in the US market and €749 in the European markets. As for the release, it is speculated to be around end of July or early August.
The price of the device will vary according to regions. In India, the device is expected to carry a price tag of Rs 44,999. Also, the device though will see an early release will not retail until end of Q3. The reason mainly attributed to the shortage of Snapdragon 835 processors.
Nokia 9 will be a high-end phone and will boast a 5.5-inch QHD 1440p OLED display and 22MP dual lens rear camera setup with Carl Zeiss optics.
The device will carry a IP68 water/dust resistance certification. Under the hood, you have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC with 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage capacity. Power will be drawn by a 3,800 mAh battery.
Meanwhile, HMD Global’s Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 initially announced at the Mobile World Congress 2017 are expected to launch in the coming weeks.
Just last week, we had spotted the Nokia 5 having cleared the FCC certification. The FCC listing indicates that Nokia 5 (TA-1044) may come with dual SIM support set up. Both Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 also have received Bluetooth certification.
The company earlier had said it will launch the devices in 120 markets simultaneously in Q2 2017. Nokia 6 has been the only smartphone launched and available in China and Taiwan. Nokia 6 is a mid-range phone with a 5.5-inch screen and metal body. There will also be a special version of Nokia 6 called Arte version, which will have a piano black finish.
