Newly announced Red iPhone and iPad hits Apple Store

“We’ve got something special in store for you,” appeared a teaser on Apple Store yesterday. Needless to say, the news spread like wildfire with Apple lovers virtually queueing up before the Apple Store. The store opened at 8:01 PDT (Pacific Daylight Time) and as expected, the latest on the iPhone block, the Red iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and the all new Apple iPad 9.7 inch were among the newly announced devices that hit the shelves.

The brand new iPad from Apple, plainly named the Apple iPad 9.7 inch is the newbie of the pack and to those who haven’t had a chance to look it up, the iPad 9.7 is equipped with Apple’s A9 processor and sports a, well, 9.7” screen that has a 1536 x 2048 resolution. The 32GB Wi-Fi variant is priced at $329 while the 32GB Wi-Fi cum Cellular variant costs $429. If the 128GB Wi-Fi only variant of the tablet can be availed at $459, the Wi-Fi cum Cellular variant of the 128GB iPad 9.7 inch can set you back by $559.

The 128GB and the 32GB variants of the Apple iPhone SE were also among the new devices that Apple put on their store. iPhone SE, which runs on iOS 9.3, is a much smaller iPhone with a 4” screen, nevertheless packing the powerful A9 processor of the iPhone 6s. The devices, supporting Apple Pay, Apple Health, Night Shift, and Apple ID, come in the trademark gold, silver, and gray colors as well as in rose gold. The 32GB variant has a price tag of $399 while the 128GB costs $499. These new versions of the Apple iPhone SE will replace the older 16GB and 64GB variants of the phone.

The pop-star among the group, the Red Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is the fresh new face of iPhone but, doesn’t have much else to brag when it comes to the hardware or the software. As for the iPhone 7, it costs $749 for the 128GB variant of the phone and $849 for the 256GB variant. For the iPhone 7 Plus, the price tag is $869 for the 128GB variant and $969 for the 256GB one.
