Moto Z2 Play: TENAA listing confirms Snapdragon 626, 2,800 mAh battery

Moto Z2 Play had leaked through multiple renders for months. Now, a TENAA listing can confirm many of the specs rumored on the new Moto device.

A successor to the Moto Z Play, Z2 Play passed through TENAA with model number ZT170-08. It was listed with a 5.5-inch FHD OLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

The hardware includes a Snapdragon 626 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The battery is slightly lower than the predecessor at 2,800 mAh. On Moto Z Play, Motorola had fitted with a 3,510 mAh battery.

Moto Z2 Play will be equipped with a 12MP camera on the back with dual-LED flash. There is also a 5MP camera on front for selfies. According to the TENAA listing, the device will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

Besides specs, the TENAA listing gave a clear view of the device’s design. There are no major changes seen. The power button and volume rocker keys are present on the right. There is a front-facing dual LED flash. A 16-pin magnetic module is present at the back to attach Mods.

Leaked renders earlier suggested Motorola will launch the device on June 8. We’ll have to wait and see.
