At the same time Motorola’s Moto Z2 Force was launched in the US, the device was spotted on the website of Chinese telecommunication authority TENAA suggesting the unveiling of the device in China.
The TENAA listing has the same core specs as widely rumored, except on the RAM and storage. For China, it appears Motorola is bringing a 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Otherwise, the device sports 5.5-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and is powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset.
Weighing 144 grams, the device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is backed by a 2,565 battery. There are chances it might also support the Moto Mod battery pack. In the optics department, the phone is equipped with a dual 12MP + 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter for selfies.
Meanwhile, the flagship device is up for sale across the US. It is priced at $720, and can be even owned on an installment with a carrier plan. The only unique difference in the specs is the 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage.
A successor to the original Z Force, the Moto Z2 Force boasts of a ShatterShield display which Motorola says won’t crack or shatter for four years. The battery was reduced from 3,500mAh to 2,730mAh to make it more slimmer. In terms of design, it very much resembles the predecessor and does not bring anything to the table.
Motorola is luring consumers with a free Moto Insta-Share Projector Mod along with the device. Additionally, those who want the 360 Camera Moto Mod, can purchase the same for $300.
