With Mobile World Congress just around the corner, new devices are being spotted on benchmarking websites, revealing at least partial specs. The latest to join the bandwagon is Motorola.
A new Moto phone was spotted on benchmarking platform Geekbench. It bears the model number XT1650. Android Pure has suggested that the device could be the Moto Z (2017) or a new Moto Z variant.
As for why it should be the new Moto Z, it’s attributed to the model number which was the same for Moto Z’s previous launch.
When Moto Z (2016) was launched in June last year, it came with a 5.5-inch display and resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Also known as Moto Z Droid in the US, the device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4GB RAM.
The new device spotted on Geekbench appears to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It will include a 4GB RAM and will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
No other information on the specs and features are available as yet. Now that the device has appeared on Geekbench, soon there should be more information on the hardware and availability.
