New HTC smartwatch ‘Halfbeak’ leaks in images

Not many were aware of HTC bringing a smartwatch. While the release of Android Wear 2.0 is just around the corner, new images of a HTC smartwatch has leaked.

HTC halfbeakThe smartwatch is codenamed as Halfbeak and is a collaboration with Under Armor, a popular manufacturer of athletic and sporting wear.

Reports state the HTC smartwatch was rumored back in 2015. In October last year there were also some images that revealed the specs. However, the latest renders provide more clarity on the design and features.

Once again the images were posted on Chinese social networking site Weibo. The design reveals a round face and a red and black strap. The Under Armour logo is found on the bottom of the watch.

The alleged HTC smartwatch has 360×360 display and features two buttons on the right side and pogo pins on the back.

It is likely that the smartwatch will run on Android Wear 2.0. Google is set to launch its next-gen version of smartwatch operating system in February. And it wont be HTC, but LG that will have the honor of releasing the first with Android Wear 2.0.
