Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus to release on July 26, will feature different MediaTek chips

After having earlier teased a small portion of the phone, Meizu is now revealing a little more the device in a new image of the much-awaited Meizu Pro 7 and its release date, which is just a day from now.

Owing to multiple leaks and rumors, the Meizu’s launch is said to happen on July 26 but Senior Vice President of the company had posted an image of the phone on the popular Chinese social media site Weibo which shows the phone laid atop a desk with some stationery and showing off its e-ink display on the back. The phone in the image was of the grey variant and showed that the phone has a brushed metal body, which is not a very common occurrence among Android phones nowadays. The secondary display, while not only being a small strip on the side of the rear panel, also curves into the bezels of the phone as seen in the image. The design-language is also seen in terms of Antenna design where it is this U-shaped coating that lines the base of the phone over the bottom corners.

The supposed Meizu Pro 7 that leaked earlier

The Meizu Pro 7 will have two variants – the standard Meizu Pro 7 and the Meizu Pro 7 Plus. They will both feature different MediaTek processors. The standard Pro 7 will feature the MediaTek Helio P25 and the Pro 7 Plus will feature the MediaTek Helio X30. On the front of the device, the phone is speculated to come with a 5.7-inch display on one of the models and feature 4K always-on technology, which might prove to be cumbersome for the battery. As far as storage and memory options go, the phone is said to come in 4GB, 6GB or 8GB of RAM configurations with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. In terms of optics, the phone will have dual 12MP cameras on the back with a 16MP camera on the front for the selfie snapper.

When the device does eventually release tomorrow, other details such as pricing and availability will also be confirmed. Hopefully, the device will come with a hefty battery capacity in order to manage all that power and is also available in more places than just China. The company’s international presence has not been as extensive as its competitors Xiaomi and Huawei, who have been enjoying their sales in Asian sub-continents like India. With the Pro 7, Meizu could find the perfect excuse to enter the market with a product that will grab attention.
