It’s been a while we heard of Meizu’s Pro 7. The upcoming smartphone will be the successor of Pro 6 and Pro 6 Plus that launched last year. The latter is relatively new, featuring a 5.7-inch display with an octa core processor.
The high-end, Pro 7, is now rumored to come in two processor variants. According to PhoneArena, Meizu is planning on introducing two Qualcomm-powered handsets. The base model could see a Snapdragon 835 chipset, while a “lite” version might come equipped with a Snapdragon 626.
The report is based on rumors coming from China. We suggest to take this information with a pinch of salt and wait until the smartphone is launched.
Talking of launch, there are speculations that Meizu will be unveiling the device in the third quarter, any time around July or after. The Pro 6 if you recall was announced in April of last year.
The Meizu Pro 7 is rumored to sport a curved display and could even have body to screen ratio. The display should be a 5.62-inch Super AMOLED screen (2160×1080p). Under the hood should be a 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage. There are other rumors that state the smartphone could come in three RAM variants – 4GB, 6GB and 8GB RAM.
On Pro 6 Plus, Meizu had fitted with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. The device runs Exynos 8890 processor and features a 5.7-inch QHD 2K Super AMOLED display. It houses a 3400 mAh non removable battery unit with support for mCharge 3.0 fast charging.
Meanwhile, on the Pro 7 there will be a dual camera set up accompanied by an 8MP selfie camera. The battery will support mCharge 4.0 as well.
