Meizu M6 appears again in leaks before official launch, reveals Helio processor and 5.2-inch screen

The new and upcoming Meizu M6 smartphone has been an anticipated launch since recent months and while there have been a few leaks doing the rounds, the latest leaks provide a more comprehensive look of the phone.

The phone, which is supposed to be released on September 20, in its leaks shows that it looks eerily similar to the M5 Note. According to the images in the leak, the phone will also have a single camera on the back, which seems like the phone will be stepping away from the current trend of dual-cameras and will most likely be a budget offering as well, which Meizu specializes in.

From the images shown, it appears the phone may come in either a polycarbonate shell or a metal body. What has been confirmed via speculation is that it could most likely come with an aluminium chassis that is commonly found in premium segment smartphones. It can also be seen from the images that the phone has antennas are moulded into the body.

The phone seems to feature a physical home button on the front that will also double as the fingerprint sensor which will be embedded into it. While the phone might look like a premium handset, the cost will likely be the phone’s USP.

As far as the internal specifications of the smartphone go, rumours hint that the phone will pack the octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor otherwise known as the Helio P10, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with expandable capabilities, hopefully. The display on the phone will be 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. While the images from the leaks uncovered may not be confirmed to be authentic, the speculations surrounding the phone do seem realistic.

Meizu will most likely release multiple variants of the device. According to reports, the optics of the handset will consist of a 13MP sensor on the back with an 8MP sensor up front. One of the variants will feature 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, while the other will come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The processor is expected to be the same on both phones.

In terms of looks, the phone will be conservatively designed, much like all Meizu phones and should be a great entry-level offering with modest specifications when it officially hits shelves on September 20.
