Just a while ago the FCC database showed a low-end LG device that was dubbed as LG X Charge. The rumors were right, the device was made official today and will be sold in the US through Xfinity Mobile.
Though the device lacks any impressive hardware, the battery setup alone should be a tempting offer to many, particularly to those who need a device that last long. The LG X Charge has a 4,500 mAh battery setup and no other feature seems as impressive on this one.
LG in a statement said the LG X Charge was designed to meet the demands of users who want “maximum usage from their smartphones between charges, paired with advanced flagship features”. The fast-charging battery can apparently last an entire weekend.
In terms of display, you have a 5.5-inch 1280x720p screen, and the processor is made of of a 1.5GHz octa-core CPU (could be MediaTek MT6750) with 1.5GB or 2GB RAM. There is a 16GB storage that is expandable via microSD card.
For pictures, the phones boasts a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter. As for connectivity, the LG X Charge supports Wi-Fi (802.11 b, g, n), Bluetooth 4.2 and USB 2.0. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
Starting June 30 consumers will be able to buy the device at select Xfinity Stores. The phone can be purchased for $180 or $7.50 for 24 months. The latest LG device is reported to be a rebranded variant of the X Power2 that launched in February, 2017.
