The recently announced LG Q8 is coming to Europe this week. In a press release today, LG also announced that the device will be released in Asia next month.
“The LG Q8 is a welcome member to our newest Q line of smartphones that addresses the needs of customers who want the best content creation device without paying for extra features they don’t want or need,” said Juno Cho, President of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
Part of the Q series, the Q8 can be considered a smaller version of the V20 with a secondary display. It is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor and packs a 5.2-inch QHD IPS LCD display (2560×1440 / 570ppi) with Gorilla Glass 4 and always-on secondary display (160×1040 / 570ppi).
The hardware includes 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. Other features include a dual camera setup with 13MP+8MP sensors, 5MP front camera and 3,000 mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support.
The phone is protected by a metal frame with rounded corners and even comes with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. It also features 32-bit Quad DAC support, and an infrared emitter.
