LG G6+ and 32GB G6 launching in Korea on June 30, here are the specs to know

LG is releasing two new variants of their G6 line in South Korea, called the G6+ and the G6 32GB. These two variants will serve as additional options from the base 64GB LG G6 model in order to provide buyers with a little more options based on their needs.

The LG G6+ will be the largest in the line-up, in terms of specification which will come with 128GB of internal storage. The G6 32GB will, as the name suggests, come with only 32GB of on-board storage space. The G6+ will also come with features that the others won’t have, such as wireless charging as well as an included pair of high-quality B&O PLAY earphones as part of the package, which should be a good incentive for those opting for the highest end G6+.

Also, the G6+ is said to come in the colors Optical Astro Black, Optical Marine Blue and Optical Terra Gold, whose specialty comes in the form of a lenticular film which is applied on the back of the device, offering a special visual effect under certain lighting, much like was seen with LG’s Nexus 4 a few years ago. The blue and gold colors with their effects are also said to make their way to the existing LG G6 as well soon.

The two new variants of the G6 line will be released on June 30, with the G6+ coming with a price of 957,000 KRW ($838) and the G6 32GB coming in with a price tag of 819,500 KRW ($718). As of now, these phones will be available only in South Korea, but it is expected that they will be made available internationally as well soon enough. Considering the price range though, buyers will have to make a choice between the already variant-specific Galaxy S8 and S8+ along with the new and cheaper OnePlus 5, both of which have more advanced, future-proof internals than all of the G6 line.

Along with the new releases of phones, LG will also be adding new software feature to the G6 line, such as Face Print, Low Power Consumption and Covered Lens warning. Audiophiles will, however, want to consider the Quad DAC which is exclusive to the LG G6+, offering superior sound quality than most phones out there. Complete with the high quality branded earphones, LG’s package is difficult to beat.
