Huawei P10, P10 Plus launched: Specs, features, pricing and availability

Huawei today launched the P10 and P10 Plus at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona. The successor to last year’s popular P9, the new flagship stands out for its advanced photographic capabilities.

This will be the first time Huawei has introduced a Leica front camera for P10 and P10 Plus. Both the devices also come with a Leica dual rear camera with features including 3D facial detection technology, dynamic illumination, portrait enhancements, natural bokeh effect and Huawei Hybrid Zoom.

The Huawei P10 is the base model with 5.1-inch 1080p screen with incredible metal finishing and refined sandblast and high gloss. It features the latest Corning Gorilla 5 Glass protection and narrow bezel edges.

Under the hood, you have a powerful Kirin 960 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The P10 will be powered by a 3,200 mAh battery with SuperCharge technology. For pictures, there is the new Leica Dual-Camera 2.0 with 20MP monochrome sensor and 12MP RGB sensor on back and 8MP front camera for selfies.

As for the P10 Plus, you have a 5.4-inch screen with Corning Gorilla 5 Glass protection, Kirin 960 processor, 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. The battery is 3,750 mAh with SuperCharge technology.  In terms of pictures, it comes with Leica Dual-Camera 2.0 Pro Edition which includes new SUMMILUX-H Leica lenses with a larger F/1.8 aperture and higher optical capability.

Both devices come in an array of colors in partnership with Pantone. The blue and gold versions will be available in the Hyper Diamond-Cut finish, and the green, rose gold, silver, black and gold models will come with a sandblast finish. There is also a Ceramic White version in high gloss finish. Did we mention the operating system? The P10 and P10 Plus will ship running EMUI 5.1, based on Android Nougat.

As for pricing, the P10 will carry a price tag of 649 euros ($685), while the P10 Plus will start at 699 euros ($738). By March, both the devices will be available in major markets, including Australia, France, Germany, Mexico, Malaysia, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, UAE and the UK.
