Huawei’s subsidiary company Honor is about to drop a big release in the coming weeks as the popular social media website Weibo has witnessed an official post form the company that teases their upcoming 7X, with a tag line that hints at a new display being introduced to the product line.
According to report from Gear, the poster made by the company comes with a tag line that asks views to see farther than ordinary people. Speculations are ripe that the phone will come with an 18:9 aspect ratio, which is the current trend nowadays in the smartphone world. This might also see something along the lines of LG’s Infinite Display as seen in the V30 and G6.
The 7X is meant to be the successor the Honor 6X, which consisted of dual cameras as well as the formidable Kirin 655 chipset. While the 6X did enjoy its popularity, the 7X will be hoping to surpass its predecessor by a notch.
The poster also revealed that the official launch of the device will occur on October 11, which will be about a week from the new Pixel 2 launch. The 7X, much like the 6X, will aim to come with quality build and internals at an affordable price tag. Offering an added hint, the poster of the new teaser by the company was also in the aspect ratio of 18:9.
What we can expect from the device is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C support and Android Nougat with EMUI atop, out of the box. The 32GB variant of the device is expected to come with a price tag of $220 and the 64GB variant is expected to come at a price tag of $270. This will put the phone in direct competition of brands like Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi, who offer similar specifications in their phones as well.
Honor 7X will come with a 5.5-inch screen, a new Kirin 670 chipset and up to 4GB of RAM. The 7X will go head to head with the Xiaomi Mi 5X and the Meizu M6 Note when it releases in China. But Honor will not just be looking to sell in China only. The company has been making strides to sell phones outside the nation, also having introduced the 6X to India in the past month. By growing its market-base, thanks to the tried and tested approach of Huawei, Honor will be able to penetrate other markets as well.
