The Florida-based smartphone manufacturer Blu has upgraded last year’s R1 HD with the launch of new R1 Plus.
Blu R1 Plus like its predecessor is affordable and comes with a massive battery life. There are two RAM and storage variants as well, one exclusively sold by Amazon and the second by Best Buy.
The version that Amazon sells comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, while the Best Buy model has 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The 3GB RAM one sells for $160, while the lower end version can be got cheaper by $20.
Coming to the core specs, on the display you have a 5.5 inch, 1280x720p screen, and 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor. For pictures, there is a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front shooter.
The dual SIM phone supports 4G LTE and also has a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB. Weighing at 190 grams, the device runs the aging Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is equipped with an impressive 4,000 mAh battery. On the Blu R1 HD, users only had a 2,500 mAh battery set up.
