Amazon Cash: A new way to deposit funds to your Amazon account

Amazon has added a new way for users to deposit money into their account online. The service, dubbed Amazon Cash, is handy for those who seldom use debit/credit cards or bank accounts for purchases on the web.

Shoppers can visit any of the participating retailers and carry with them their Amazon Cash barcode, which can be printed on a sheet or opened directly on smartphone.

With Amazon Cash, you can deposit money at a number of participating US stores that include CVS Pharmacy, Speedway, Kum & Go, D&W Fresh Market, Sheetz, Family Fare Supermarkets, and VG’s Grocery.

You can visit the aforementioned stores and request the cashier to add the amount which will reflect in your account instantly upon deposit. Users will also get a confirmation through text or email. Anywhere between $15 to $500 can be added into Amazon Cash. Daily limits may vary by retailer.

Users wont have to generate a new barcode for every deposit they have to make. They can save the barcode that is linked to their account and reuse them any number of times. The amount in the e-wallet cannot be withdrawn and can only be used for shopping purposes.
