At the ongoing IFA 2017 in Berlin, Alcatel launched not one but four smartphones. The Alcatel Idol 5S, Alcatel Idol 5, Alcatel A7 XL, and Alcatel A7 will first hit retail outlets in Europe this month before being launched in other markets.
The Alcatel devices start at EUR 230, with the Idol 5S being the most premium at EUR 399.99. The Alcatel Idol 5 is priced at EUR 239.99. Alcatel A7 is priced at EUR 229.99 and Alcatel A7 XL at EUR 279.99.
Alcatel Idol 5S
In terms of specs, the Idol 5S boasts a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 2.5D glass protection and is powered by the Helio P20 octa-core processor with ARM Mali-T880 MP2 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The 32GB internal storage is expandable to up to 256GB.
For pictures the device comes with a 12MP sensor with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash. Selfies are taken from a 8MP sensor with fixed focus, f/2.0 aperture, and high CRI flash support. Power is drawn by a 2850mAh battery with support for fast charging.
On Idol 5, you will find a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 2.5D Dragontrail glass protection and MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The 16GB storage is expandable to up to 128GB.
Power is drawn by a 2,800 mAh battery. And for pictures, you have a 13MP sensor at back with f/2.0 aperture and support for PDAF and dual-tone LED flash.
Alcatel A7
Coming to Alcatel A7, it is a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display phone that has a 1.5GHz octa-core CPU paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage, expandable up to 128GB.
In the optics department, it has a 16MP autofocus camera with a dual-tone LED flash and an 8MP sensor with front flash. It is equipped with a generous 4000mAh battery with support for fast charging.
The last in the list is the Alcatel A7 XL that has a dual camera setup and is available in four color choices (Metal Black, Metal Blue, Metal Gold and Rose Gold).
Alcatel A7 XL
It has the biggest display at 6-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution. This one too has Dragontrail glass for protection. Underneath, you have a MediaTek MT6750S octa-core processor with 3GB RAM.
Storage of 32GB available is expandable through a microSD card slot. At the rear, you have the dual camera setup with a combination of 12MP sensor and 2MP sensor with support for PDAF, dual-tone LED flash and HDR. All the Alcatel devices run on Android Nougat operating system.
