The Huawei Enjoy 7S was just approved by TENAA last week and we already have the phone launched and available right now. The mid-range smartphone by Huawei has been an unexpected release but has managed to fill the mid-range segment quite well, with its budget features and performance.
The phone will feature Android Oreo 8.0 with EMUI 8.0. It will be powered by the Kirin 659 chipset – the latest mid-range chipset from Huawei which is clocked at 2.36GHz coupled with a Mali-T8320 MP2 GPU. The phone also boasts dual cameras on the back and slim bezels. The phone features a 5.65-inch FullView display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. Considering the panel takes up considerable space on the front of the device, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back of the phone. The phone also comes in two configurations – 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Camera on the back consisted of a 13MP snapper with a 2MP one with the secondary one assisting in artificial background blur, otherwise known as portrait mode. On the front, users will get an 8MP camera for selfies. Keeping the phone on is a 3,000mAh battery unit. The phone can also be charged fast thanks to the company’s Super Charge tech.
The phone will be the successor to the original 6S launched last year. It will be available for pre-order from December 22 onwards. The phone’s internal storage can also be expanded via a microSD card slot, thanks to the dual SIM-hybrid slot. Unfortunately, Bluetooth 5.0 is not still making the way to mainstream smartphones such as this, but the phone does come with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi and standard Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS.
Buyers will be able to purchase the phone in the colours Black, Blue, Rose, Gold, and Rose Gold colour variants. Whether the phone will be made available outside China is still uncertain, but it will be aimed at the youth. For the starting price of $226, the phone is too convincing of an offer to pass on, with the powerful processor and the configuration that the device offers. This should be reason enough to take on Xiaomi’s impending domination of the entry-level and mid-range segment, especially in developing markets where these kinds of devices thrive over flagship ones.
