The much anticipated Oppo R11 and R11 Plus have been released by the company. The biggest showcase with regard to the two models is the camera module. AMOLED displays
Both phones pack capable AMOLED displays at 1080p resolution. The R11 comes with 5.5-inch display while the R11 Plus supports a 6-inch display. The phones will support 98.5% NTSC color gamut, which will make images and video vivid and true to life. Added to that, the efficiency of AMOLED panels known for being battery saving makes the display a more sought-after feature compared to the rest of the devices’ parts.
Powerful internals
The Snapdragon 660 will be found on the R11 siblings, which is known to be the most powerful mid-range SoC by Qualcomm that is capable of out-performing even the Snapdragon 821. The powerful octa-core CPU will run at 2.2GHz, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM along with 64GB of internal storage for the R11, while the R11 Plus will feature 6GB of RAM. Storage can also be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. Keeping things running is a 3,000mAh battery for the R11 and a 4,000 beast of a battery for the R11 Plus. Oppo’s proprietary VOOC fast charging support should be an added incentive.
Build
Both phones are quite light, with the R11 weighing in at just 150 grams and the R11 Plus weighing 180 grams. The metal build with antennas on the edges is a smart and discreet look, that may or may not be comparable to the iPhone 7 Plus design. Nevertheless, the phone looks premium and comes in color variants of Black, Gold and Rose Gold. Oppo has managed to fit big batteries in their bodies along with modules for Hybrid dual SIM as well as a headphone jack, to the delight of many.
UI and Android Nougat
The phone will feature Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box with the company’s ColorOS 3.1 skin layered over, owing to the new bells and whistles that the colorful UI is known for.
