Microsoft’s new Surface laptop with Windows 10 S leaks ahead of launch

Microsoft is expected to announce a new Surface laptop in New York on Tuesday. The laptop is designed for the education market and will feature a limited version of Windows 10.

The Surface laptop will run on new Windows 10 S

A new leak has outed the pictures and specifications of the upcoming laptop. According to tipster WalkingCat, it will pack a 13.5-inch PixelSense display with 3.4 million pixels and will run Windows 10 S.

The Windows 10 S is a lightweight version of Windows 10 and is set to compete with Google’s Chrome OS. Within hours we should have more clarity on the OS and other features. The MicrosoftEDU event will be live-streamed on the official website.

The Surface laptop will sell in four colors – platinum, burgundy, cobalt blue and graphite gold. It will weigh 2.76 pounds, and will be 14.47mm thick at the back and 9.9mm thick in the front.

The leaked images also reveal a possible Alcantara keyboard. On the design front, we should admit the upcoming Chromebook rival looks stunning and shouts premium on first look.
