Starting next week, fans in India can buy the ZTE Blade A2 Plus that was unveiled in China last year. The Blade A2 Plus will be sold exclusively on e-tailer Flipkart from February 6. It is priced at Rs 11,999 and comes in two variants.
Last week, ZTE sent media invites for the launch event that took place on Friday in New Delhi. The Chinese smartphone maker is marketing the latest in the Blade series as a device that supports 4G LTE and VoLTE and carries an affordable price tag.
Besides two color options – Gold and Silver, the Blade A2 Plus also has a 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variant. However, reports state ZTE will only be selling the 4GB RAM version in India. The 5.5 inch full-HD display phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor and has an inbuilt storage of 32GB (expandable to 128GB).
For photography, it offers a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, dual-LED flash and an 8MP front sensor with LED flash. The fingerprint sensor is present on the back right below the camera. The only lowlight is that the device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
But, the battery capacity should impress those needing more juice for life throughout the day. The device is armed with a massive 5,000 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS.
