Last month, Asus announced the ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) model in India. The Taiwanese smartphone maker has now made it official across the country. It retails at Rs 17,999 ($265).
Part of the Zenfone 3 series, the Android phone boasts a massive 4,100 mAh battery that offers up to 17 hours 3G talk time and standby of 38 days. It also doubles up as a power bank to charge your digital devices.

The device sits in a metal casing with contoured (2.5D) glass touch screen and has a thin 2.25mm bezel with 77.5% screen-to-body ratio. It features a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel that can unlock device in 0.3 seconds and activate selfie camera with a tap.
Asus had announced the launch of ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) alongside the 5.2-inch version with model name ZC520TL. Both have the same design, battery setup and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS with the company’s ZenUI 3.0 skin.
The ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display, a 16MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash, and an 8MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an 84-degree wide-angle lens.
For videos, the ZenFone 3 Max has a three-axis electronic image stabilizer (EIS) to keep your handheld videos rock-steady.
Powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM, the device has 32GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card to 128GB.
The smaller ZenFone 3 Max (ZC520TL) is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor and has 13MP primary camera and 5MP selfie shooter. The 5.2 inch variant is available at a price of Rs 12,999 ($191).
The ZC553KL’s highlight without question is the battery set up. And if 4,100 mAh is not impressive enough, Asus has the Zenfone 3 Max (2016) and Zenfone Max with up to 5,000mAh battery.
