A new leak spotted on micro-blogging platform Weibo by AndroidPure suggest that the flagship device may be launched on September 24, 2016.
The details were found in a teaser for a launch event that had the number 9.24 written on it along with Xiaomi logo and device name. Could the digits mean September 24?
There are other rumours on the release date, one purporting it to be on September 14.
The Mi Note 2 is a successor of Xiaomi Note – first introduced in China in January, 2015. The dual-SIM device is expected to feature a 5-inch fullHD display with resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels, dual 16MP primary camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 4100mAh battery and 2GB RAM.
According to reports, there will be two variants, one with 32GB internal storage and the other being of 128GB.
For premium Note 2 users, there will be the Mi Note 2 Pro that could sport a faster processor.
So far all we have is rumours and speculations on the technical specifications. Till there is an official announcement, it is safe to not jump on any rumour bandwagon.
