April is here and Xiaomi is planning something big; as in humongous. The Chinese smartphone maker is launching its two flagship devices, the Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus. While the rumor mill has been churning out unclaimed news of the devices, it seems now that ahead of the nearing launch, a spec-sheet is leaked online on Weibo which if true, is the first spec-sheet of the much-anticipated handsets.
Xiaomi fans were somewhat let down as previous rumors claimed that the Mi 6 will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 chipset instead of the latest Snapdragon 835. However, the Weibo leaks have put the rumors to the grave with the spec sheet claiming that both Mi 6 an Mi 6 Plus will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 processor.
Xiaomi Mi 6 leaked features
Sporting a 5.15” FHD display having a resolution of 1080x1920p, the Mi 6 is an effortlessly powerful phone and comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. The internal memory of the device is expected to be 32GB that can be extended upto 128GB. The primary camera is a whopping 19MP camera with Sony’s most recent Sony IMX400 sensor, and the secondary camera is an 8MP shooter. The dual-SIM supporting Mi 6 is also expected to have a 3200 mAh battery onboard.
What’s in store for Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus
The bigger device of the two, Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus is expected to have a 5.7” FHD display. If the spec-sheet is legit, Mi 6 Plus is a powerhouse that does pack a punch to its competitors with the latest SD835 onboard with a 6GB RAM and a chunky 4500mAh battery. All these fire powers would be managed by MIUI 8 which is Xiaomi’s version of the Android Nougat 7.0
The Mi 6 Plus is expected to sport a dual-cam setup on the rear with its primary camera featuring a 12 MP Sony IMX362 sensor that is similar to the one found on the Vivo Xplay 6 or ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom. The cameras of both Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus are similar in features except for the sensors which might be a smart move from Xiaomi.
Xiaomi, loved for its design and affordable prices are expected to not stray from their path this time either. With the official announcement still at bay, we’re left to survive on rumors and unverified sources.
