Japanese firm Wacom has announced two new line of creative pen displays for professionals and creators of digital content.
The Cintiq Pro 13 and Cintiq Pro 16 has a sleek and portable form factor. The 13- and 16-inch tablets feature full HD (1920×1080) and ultra HD (3840×2160) resolution respectively.
Both the models come with an edge-to-edge glass and boasts of ergonomic features such as the pop out legs and an optional three-position desk stand.
Wacom said the tablets feature multi-touch for fast navigation as well as the ability to pinch and zoom photos and illustrations within supporting 2-D or 3-D creative software applications.
It further comes equipped with the new Pro Pen 2 which supposedly delivers four times greater accuracy and pressure sensitivity than the previous Pro Pen. It features the new optical bonding process that greatly reduces parallax.
“Thanks to the Cintiq Pro’s amazing pen performance and other design features, people passionate about exploring creativity can effectively transport what’s in their heart and soul to the digital canvas,” said Wacom CEO Masahiko Yamada.
The pen displays are compatible with both Mac and PC. It will go on sale next month for $1,000. The Cintiq Pro 16 will have a price tag of $1499 and will be available in February, next year.
