Vivo Xplay 6 and X9 launching next week, spotlight on camera

Vivo is releasing the Xplay 6 and X9 this month. While the former succeeds XPlay 5, the X9 will succeed X7 which was launched in China in July this year.

Vivo is launching two new smartphones on November 17 in Beijing, China

Both the devices will be unveiled on November 17 and will go on sale in December. While Vivo Xplay 6 will have a massive battery and top of the line hardware, the X9’s highlight is the dual front-facing cameras with an impressive 20-megapixel and 8-megapixel.

For more details on the specs, the Vivo Xplay 6 will feature a 1440×2560 (QHD) resolution, powered by Snapdragon 821 SoC and the Adreno 530 GPU. There will also be a 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The device packs a 4000mAh battery.

We do not have much details on the camera, but rumors suggest it could have a dual camera setup. The device’s predecessor Xplay 5 had 16MP primary camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash, and 8MP secondary camera. So you can expect the Xplay 6 to receive a camera bump.

Towards the Vivo X9, you can expect an octa-core Snapdragon 653 processor with 4GB/6GB RAM options and 64GB internal storage. The latest leaks further reveal a dual rear camera setup with Sony’s IMX260 sensor.

Stay tuned as we bring you more details on both the devices before the launch.
