Vivo had initially announced the V7+ to the masses but kept its fans wondering about its non-plus variant. While its larger sibling was impressive, the new one takes the focus to the camera, with all the fan favourite features on-board as well, including the near-bezel-less display, the triple card slot with two SIM card trays and a microSD card slot.
The phone will have its own launch event on November 20 in Delhi, India. Based on the company’s latest teaser of the phone, which shows an edge-to-edge display, fans will get to buy the phone at the budget value of INR 18,333. The phone will be a more selfie-oriented smartphone compared to its larger sibling. It will come with a 24MP front-facing camera, just like the V7+. Other features also match its bigger brother, such as having the same processor, same internal configuration and the same software package as well, with Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box.
Based on a report from Android Authority, just like the V7+, the V7 will also feature the VivoFace Access technology that will be used for unlocking the phone, along with the proprietary Smart Beauty 7.0 that is supposed to make selfies brighter and add better complexion to the user’s facial features. The phone comes with a 3,000mAh battery and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Compared to the V7+, the V7 comes in as a better deal, since it is $50 lesser compared to the $350 price tag of the V7+. The handset will be on sale in Indonesia in Black and Gold colours but it is also expected to have a global release soon.
For a budget handset, the Vivo V7 offers the right kind of specifications that users will want in a reliable, trendy handset that fits the perfect description of a 2017 device. And with a great screen, coupled with a great camera and body, there’s probably not much else we can ask for at that attractive of a price.
