Vernee Apollo X launched: 5.5-inch display, Helio X20 SoC and 3,500 mAh battery

Vernee, a Chinese brand not many people are familiar with, has released a new smartphone dubbed Apollo X.

The device is a special edition of Vernee’s Apollo series. First announced at the MWC 2017, the device is reportedly the world’s first deca-core flagship smartphone with VOS and sports a full metal unibody design.

On the spec sheet, the device comes packed with a 5.5-inch (1920×1080) Full HD display, Corning Gorilla 2.5D curved glass for protection and a deca-core Helio X20 processor with Mali-T880 GPU.

In the optics department, you have a 13MP camera (Sony IMX 258) on the rear and a 5MP front camera for selfies. The 4G LTE phone will be equipped with a decent 3,500 mAh battery and will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The hardware also includes 4GB RAM and 64GB storage (expandable up to 128GB). Priced at $232, the device will be available in black and silver color versions.

Other Vernee devices that will soon hit the market include Vernee Mars Pro, Vernee Thor E and Vernee Thor Plus. The Thor E and Thor Plus’ USP will be its batteries.

The Thor E will be armed with a 5,020 mAh battery and on Thor Plus you can expect a 6,050 mAh battery. Details on the features, price and availability remain slim at the moment.
