An upgrade to Moto’s successful G4, the next generation G5 and G5 Plus will launch at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona next month. Technoblog spotted the G5 listed on the retailer site with model number XT1672.

The Moto G5 is coming with a 5-inch full HD (1080p) display, a 3,000 Ah battery and Android Nougat operating system. The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage (expandable via microSD card).

Alongside the G5 will be a bigger variant dubbed G5 Plus. It will pack a bigger 5.5-inch 1080p display and Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM. While in G5, you can expect a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter, in the G5 Plus Motorola might fit a 16MP rear camera with dual LED flash and 5MP camera for selfies.

Add to that the difference in battery and fingerprint scanning ability. The G5 Plus will have a fingerprint scanner and also a bigger 3,050 mAh battery.

Just last week mobile enthusiasts were treated with full renders of the Moto G5 and G5 Plus leaked by a case maker. Three images of the G5 surfaced on Twitter, thanks to Ronald Quandt of Winfuture.de.

The launch of both the Moto 4 successors are not far. The Moto G5 has already cleared the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Moto G5 is likely to be priced around $230.
