The Sony Xperia XZ is now available for purchase in the United States. The new flagship device, which went up for pre-order last month, retails at $700.
The Xperia XZ is one of two models in the X series and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The 64GB storage is expandable up to 200GB via microSD card.
The device flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD display accompanied by a curved 2.5D glass layout and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for better protection against scratches. It has a soft, rounded form making it comfortable to hold. And the back of Xperia XZ is made from high purity Alkaleido metal, adding shine to the finish.
The highlight of the device is its camera, which packs in three rear camera sensors. The triple image sensing technology allows users to capture beautiful images in motion with true to life colors in virtually any conditions. The technology is comprised of Sony’s original Exmor RS, Laser AF sensor and RGBC-IR sensor with color sensing technology.
The 23MP rear camera can capture spontaneous moments in just 0.6 seconds. Users also enjoy manual focus and shutter speed controls. For selfies, the camera boasts a 13MP shooter with low light sensor and 22mm wide angle lens.
The Sony Xperia XZ had first made its debut at IFA 2016. Xperia XZ will be available in both Single SIM and Dual SIM variants. The premium handset features USB Type-C connectivity, and is powered by a 2900mAh battery.
