Sennheiser launch 3 new headphone kits for TV – RS 5000, RS 2000 and Flex 5000

Sennheiser is currently making a lot of noise in the television space without actually making any noise. The company just announced its range of television headphones which can be connected to a TV and allow users to enjoy their programming without having to annoy their neighbours, thanks to the arrival of three new models – the RS 5000, the RS 2000 and the Flex 5000. Here is what each of them have to offer:

RS 5000 and RS 2000

Sennheiser RS 5000

Both of these headphones offer sublime listening experiences on their own. They both feature volume and balance controls for the optimal output of volume, come with an LED indicator to show the user the amount of battery life left in the headsets. Where the two headphones differ is in the extra features and battery life department.

The RS 5000 wins over the RS 2000 by including different profiles for listening to different kinds of shows. It also comes with a speech intelligibility function which makes it easy to hear dialogue. Even the range is better than the RS 2000’s with the RS 5000 getting 70 metres of range while the RS 2000 can do only up to 50 metres. The RS 5000 offers about 12 hours of battery life with continuous use, while the RS 2000 can offer up to 9 hours. They both have integrated rechargeable batteries so that it is easy to just connect them to a power-source.

The cheapest to come by, is the RS 2000, which will come for about $180. The RS 5000 will set customers back by about $250.

The Flex 5000

This is the most versatile of the three. The Flex 5000 allows users to connect their own headphones that are not hardwired to the device itself. It comes with the MX 475 and the best part of these headphones are not the headphones, really, but the ability for the user to use their own. Apart from that distinct feature, almost every aspect of this model is the same as the RS 5000.

The best value of the three would also go to the Flex 5000 as well, since it has all the functions of the RS 5000, but is still $50 cheaper than the RS 5000. All of the headphones are available on the company’s website right now, for purchase.
