Samsung Z4 with Tizen OS gets Wi-Fi certified

Recently, Samsung’s Z4 had cleared the FCC. Now, the handset has received Wi-Fi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA).

There has not been any official statement on the launch or specs, but with the device having cleared two important certification agencies, we can predict it is in the pipeline and may launch soon.

Z4 will reportedly be powered by Samsung’s own Tizen mobile operating system (could run version 3.0 of Tizen OS) and will come with dual-SIM functionality. The Wi-Fi certification shows the device with model number “SM-Z400F/DS”.

No details on the specs and hardware are available on the listing. However, reports earlier hinted that it would support 4G LTE, Bluetooth and WiFi.

The Z4 will be the fourth in the series, succeeding Z3, which was also powered by Tizen operating system. When Z3 launched, it featured a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM.

The storage of 8GB was expandable up to 128GB. For pictures, it had a 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front camera for selfies. There was a removable 2600mAh battery to keep the phone running. Let’s hope the Z3 successor will come with better specs and build quality.
