Samsung launches Galaxy C7 Pro: Know features, specs and price

Samsung today unveiled the Galaxy C7 Pro with 5.7-inch full HD screen in China. To come in three color variants, the Android phone is available for pre-order starting January 16.

The mid-range C7 Pro boasts of solid specs with a 2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and Adreno 506 GPU. As was revealed earlier on benchmarking platforms AnTuTu and Geekbench, the Super AMOLED display phone is equipped with 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256GB.

The phone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and is backed by a 3,300 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

On the front, there is a fingerprint sensor that is embedded under the Home button. Besides, it sports a 16MP camera on the back and a 16MP shooter on the front with f/1.9 aperture.

For connectivity, you have hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and a USB Type C port. Weighing 172 grams, the C7 Pro comes in Gold, Rose-Gold and Dark Blue color variants.

Priced at CNY 2799 ($405), the Galaxy C7 Pro will be the successor to the original Galaxy C7 that was launched last year in China. Specs wise, the device is identical to the C7 display size and other hardware, except for the processor which has received a minor upgrade. The secondary camera has also received a bump from 8MP to 16MP.

Along with Galaxy C7 Pro, Samsung was also rumored to launch the Galaxy C5 Pro. Part of the Galaxy C lineup, the latter is expected to flaunt a 5.2-inch display offering full HD resolution, besides a Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB RAM. The camera set up will be the same as that found on C7 Pro. There is no confirmation yet on the pricing and availability.
