Samsung Galaxy S8 becomes top dog on AnTuTu benchmark, crushes iPhone 7 Plus score

In a recent recorded leak, the Samsung Galaxy S8 has been shown to leap way ahead of the current breed of flagships out there, including the much-hyped iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, on the popular benchmarking tool AnTuTu.

Samsung Galaxy S8 came through with a good score on AnTuTu benchmarking

According to reports, the Galaxy S8 was recorded running on the AnTuTu benchmarking app and it came through with a final score of 205284. The iPhone 7 Plus, is currently the top scorer on the app, and its score is 181807 with the iPhone 7 following close behind with 173575. To put things into perspective, the OnePlus 3T is the current ruler of the Android benchmarking app with a score of 162423. Comparing these numbers, we can see exactly how well optimized and exactly how powerful the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be when it comes out. This also means that the Snapdragon 835 and its corresponding Exynos equivalent will be much more powerful than the current flagship processors out there today.

Some of the new handsets that will feature the Snapdragon 835 chipset will be the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, the Xperia XZ Premium as well as the Galaxy Note 8. They will all probably set the benchmark for the flagship standard this year and will go head to head with Apple’s new A11 chipsets. Both the Snapdragon and the A11 chipsets to be released will be based on the 10nm process and as tradition shows, iPhone’s chips have always outclassed Samsung’s. Will this time around be any different?

The power gains to be had from the Snapdragon 835 seem quite considerable on paper, but the real task is checking how well it fares in real-life usage. According to Techno Buffalo, the Snapdragon 835 will be 35 percent smaller than its predecessor and will also be 25 percent better at graphics than the Snapdragon 821. The Galaxy S8 smartphone will not just be powerful, but will also come with a ton of new features that will win users’ interests. The company will be placing Bixby at the centre of the Samsung Galaxy eco-system, letting users control almost every aspect of their smartphone. The AI will be better at understanding natural languages than having to use pre-determined commands and phrases.

With the plethora of leaks that are coming out regarding the phones’ colour options, pricings and other details, nothing is sacred anymore inside the Galaxy S8 sanctum. But those looking forward to a capable flagship this year will be more than overwhelmed at the offering which Samsung is about to bring forward.

And we cannot wait to see they have in store for us.
