Samsung Galaxy On5 (2017) passes TENAA, could release with On7 Pro (2017)

Samsung’s upcoming device dubbed as the Galaxy On5 (2017) has been certified by China’s telecommunication certification authority (TENAA). The device is said to feature a 5-inch display with 720x1280p resolution.

The successor of last year’s Galaxy On5 (2016), the new upgrade recently received Wi-Fi certification. However, no specs were known from the listing on WiFi Alliance (WFA) except that it will support single-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n (2.4GHz) and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity.

On the TENAA database, the device was listed with model number SM-G5528. It features a quad-core 1.4GHz processor and 2GB of RAM, with 16GB/32GB/64GB storage options. The phone will run older Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

In the picture department, you have a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter. Power will be drawn by a 2,600 mAh battery. As for connectivity, expect 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth.

Galaxy On7 Pro (2017) to also launch soon

Another device that Samsung will be launching in some key markets will be the Galaxy On7 Pro (2017). The device recently passed the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). It was also spotted on some benchmarking sites and even received WiFi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA).

The specs sheet shows a 5.7-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. Under the hood, you have a MediaTek Helio P20 MT6757 octa-core processor with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB storage.

It runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS and will be backed by a 3,300 mAh battery. For pictures, the device boasts a 13MP autofocus camera with LED flash on rear and 13MP on front.
