The Chromebook Pro will sell at a price of $499 and will be an entry level device with necessary features. You can expect an all metal laptop with a 360-degree rotating screen, 3.2 ratio and 2400 x 1600 resolution. The leak was first discovered by ChromeUnboxed on landing pages of retailers Adorama and B&H.

Codenamed earlier as ‘Kevin’, the Chromebook Pro will be powered by Rockchip RK3399 SoC Hexa-Core processor, 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The convertible laptop will be paired with a Wacom active stylus and digitizer.

Earlier, it was rumored that Google will release a Chromebook along with the Pixel devices. However, there was no mention of Chrome OS at Google’s hardware event. Just recently it was discovered that Samsung would be manufacturing and selling the new Chromebook with a 12.3″ display size.

If you can’t wait longer you can go ahead and order the new Acer Chromebook R13 that also features Chrome OS and Play Store for Android apps. Acer’s new convertible is selling for $429 in its 4GB/64GB variant. The price is cheaper than Samsung’s upcoming Chromebook Pro.

Under the hood, the laptop will be powered by MediaTek MT8173C Quad-core ARM Cortex processor, will sport a bigger 13.3″ Full HD display, 4GB RAM and storage of 16/32/64GB.

Meanwhile, expect Samsung’s Chromebook Pro announcement any time soon.
