Razer Phone sales go live in the US two days ahead of official launch date

The anticipation for the on-coming Razer Phone has made the device popular all of the world. The gaming system manufacturer’s first phone boasts impressive specifications that could take on the best of flagships right now. Now, the company has even surprised the fans in the US, by releasing the phone a little earlier than expected.

The Razer Phone went on sale a couple of days early from its November 17 launch. The phone is available right now in the US. The only bad news here, is that the limited edition of the device with the greed logo at the back of the phone has already been sold out. There were only 1337 units available. The regular version is still available for sale, however and for the price of $700 as promised, buyers will get the 120Hz UltraMotion screen, dual-speakers on the front, a 4,000mAh battery and the Snapdragon 835 on-board.

Those purchasing the device can also add accessories such as a thin case for $20 and a rugged one for $40. There also the company’s signature Bluetooth headphones, the Hammerhead for $100.

The company had sent an email to those who registered for the phone earlier. Those who have already pre-ordered the phone would have by now received their confirmation notice as well as a “Preparing for Shipment” notice as well. Considering the timing, it seems that Razer is doing well of keeping its promises, compared to other brands like Essential, who have often fallen short on fulfilling their orders on time. Hopefully, the company an continue this winning streak.

Android Headlines reports that the phone is said to come with “fancy add-on features” in future updates of the phone, as mentioned by the company’s CEO Min-Liang Tan in a tweet. It seems that these features will be photography focused. The company will be looking to make sure that its flagship phone’s basic camera capabilities are up to mark before delving into deeper photographic advancements. Currently, the phone is available in the US through the company’s website RazerZone.com. Amazon.com and Microsoft stores will likely receive stocks for the phone, but they will probably have to wait until November 17. Even the company’s European website has not listed the phone yet. We can expect the phone to be available in regions where the company sells its products, so the global availability of the phone will be subject to the market availability of the brand.
