Razer Blade Pro becomes more cutting-edge; Kaby Lake upgrade and THX certification

Razer has just updated its Blade Pro laptop to finally become one of the greatest portable gaming solutions to exist today. The company has released the new Blade Pro now with Kaby Lake, offering the power and efficiency of the next gen Intel processors into the GTX 1080-packing system.

The specs for the 2017 Razer Blade Pro now include the latest and greatest 7th generation Intel i7 quad-core processor with 32GB of DDR4 RAM with a speed of 2667MHz. That is plenty for anyone who would want to game at 4K or even take on some VR gaming as well, thanks to the powerful GPU. Razer is retaining the GTX 1080 GPU since its last outing and have not gone with a 1080Ti this time around, most probably owing to expanded interface that the 1080Ti will have to offer. Anyhow, the 1080 is way more than enough for a system like the Blade Pro and should breeze through any intensive task without a hitch.

The 2017 Blade Pro will also be the first laptop to be THX certified, given that Razer had previously acquired THX, it will be the first mobile platform to receive THX certification. This means the highest audio and video quality we can expect on a laptop. All those lovely details can be enjoyed on a 17.3-inch 4K IGZO monitor with NVIDIA’s G-Sync intact, for the best possible visual experience. There is also a little something for the creative digital producer as well, with colour accuracy of 100 percent as per AdobeRGB colour gamut support.

Other important specs about the mean machine include up to 2TB of SSD storage with RAID support, ports for SD-card, USB Type-C with Thunderbolt, three USB 3.0 ports as well as the fan favourite LED lighting support for the keyboard.

The Razer Blade Pro will now be a little more expensive since the old one, now starting at a price tag of $3,999. What is good, is that there hasn’t been much change on the hardware front, with Razer keeping the keyboard and trackpad layout the same, as well as the system maintaining its super slim, profile, despite its monstrous specs. The new Blade Pro will be available in April and Razer, with its continuous updates to its lines have managed to build an overall product that puts new desktops to shame. Buying one of these systems means never looking back.

Talk about cutting-edge, with the Razer Blade Pro.
