Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 821 could first feature in Google’s Pixel phones to be sold in the US.
The latest speculation is that Google’s upcoming Android smartphones Pixel and the Pixel XL could pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processors, the quad-core chip built for faster speed and performance.

The Snapdragon 821 is a follow-up to the successful Snapdragon 820 processor. The flagship chipset is based on the custom Kryo cores.
Though Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe features the Snapdagon 821 chipset, its sale is currently limited to Taiwan. The Xiaomi Mi5s also is powered by the same chipset, but is yet to be released.
“The Pixels will be the first US devices with Snapdragon 821 by a long shot,” the AndroidPolice reported.
According to sources, Google will announce the Pixel and Pixel XL on October 4. The Pixel smartphones run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating platform and comes with 12 MP primary cameras and 4GB RAM.
Pixel and Pixel XL are codenamed Sailfish and Marlin, respectively. The Pixel smartphone will feature a 5-inch display, while the Pixel XL will be a 5.5-inch smartphone. The Pixel XL is also expected to have an aluminium unibody design and a fingerprint scanner.
