Photos of Huawei’s unannounced Honor 8 Lite leaked

An unannounced Huawei device has just leaked and from the looks, it appears to be a Honor 8 Lite. The device is tipped to be launched at the upcoming MWC 2017 in Barcelona.

Images of the Honor 8 Lite was leaked by noted tech journalist Roland Quandt. The Honor 8 Lite appeared in its own plastic casing, also revealing clearly the design and hardware.

In the bottom you have a microUSB port and then there is a single rear camera instead a dual camera set up. Closely resembling the Huawei P8 Lite (2017), the device is rumored to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

The Honor 8 Lite will be a cut-down and affordable version of the successful Honor 8 which was launched in China last July. The device flaunted a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection, Kirin 950 octa-core processor, 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.

For pictures, there were two 12MP cameras on the rear and an 8MP for selfies on the front. It had a fingerprint scanner and was decked with a 3,000mAh battery. Now for the lighter, new entrant, Huawei is rumored to keep a 5.2-inch (1080p) display, an octa-core Kirin 655 processor, 3GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.

To be priced at around $300, the Honor 8 Lite should be available in blue, black, gold, and white color versions. Sometime back, Huawei did announce that it was holding a press conference on February 26, around the same time MWC begins. However, there was no word on the devices lined up for launch.
