Oukitel K6000 Plus: Will sport 5.5-inch display, Android 7.0 and 6,080 mAh

Oukitel is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer known for producing devices with massive battery capacities. Continuing its focus on the K Series, Oukitel announced the K6000 Plus during the recently concluded MWC in Barcelona.

The K6000 Plus succeeds the K6000 Pro that was announced last year. It boasts a 5.5-inch LCD panel with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek 6750 processor.

The phone is expected to launch by the end of March. There is no official word on the price or availability. To run Android 7 Nougat out of the box, K6000 Plus will further be equipped with a 16 MP OmniVision 16880 sensor at the rear, with an 8MP front camera for taking selfies.

Without even the slightest doubt, the highlight of the device is its battery. There is a massive 6,080 mAh set up with support for fast charging. You can reportedly reach a 100% charge in 100 minutes.

A slight upgrade of all features when juxtaposed with last year’s K6000 Pro. The K6000 Pro had an elegant metallic design and sported a 5.5-inch FHD FHD 1920x1080p screen, 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.

It offered a 13MP rear shooter which can be interpolated to 16MP along with a 5MP front shooter. As for battery, there was a 6000 mAh juice pack. The device had a price tag of $199.
